Hi, I am a gigging musician and I need some suggestions for a great overdrive pedal that works good for an acoustics and electric guitars. Can someone give me some ideas- please!! _________________ Check me and my music out at www.myspace.com/cjhoty

I have been using the Route 66 by Visual Sound for about 6 months now for all of my live shows and it has been great for me. It is a combo pedal consisting of the Ibanez TS-9 circuitry with a bass boost and a compressor. It is also built in a very rugged steel housing. I have used it for both electric and acoustic shows ranging from small coffee house venues to the Alive Music Festival in Canal Fulton, OH. It is also very reasonably priced. . It's worth trying out at your local music store. I hope you find this info useful. |

PS. Oh ya. I have also seen Phil use this same pedal for both acoustic and electric shows if that says anything about it |

I just wanted to post and say that I did buy the Route 66 and I've had it for several months now. It takes a lot of messing around with it to get the right sort of oeverdrive setting for acoustic, so it doesn't give me feedback- (although I have seen even Phil have the same problem live), but over all I love it! Electricly it is smokin'! _________________ Check me and my music out at www.myspace.com/cjhoty

Yeah I still have a few feedback issues with it every now and then, and it does take a little tweaking to get it set just right....but when you do....LOOK OUT BROTHER that thing will tear the paper off the walls |
