Hi Gang.......

Well, we're back from a loooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggggg weekend in Nashville. Phil was very appreciative of all the birthday greetings everyone sent and thanks everyone for their wishes.

The highlight of the weekend was waching the Harp perform 3 shows at this small coffee house that MAYBE held 70 people. They were on a very small stage, and the tables were jam packed in there, so it was quite an intimate evening!! They did 3 sets, all about 1 hr 15 min long (well, the second show actually went closer to an hour & a half).

One major highlight of the show was a girl named Gianna Jessen. She's 24 years old, and is a survivor of a saline abortion that her birth mother had when Gianna was 7 1/2 months old. But she survived miraculously, and apart from cerebral palsy, she's 100% fine. She's recently recorded a version of "The Survivor" with Phil, and performed the song live with him at all 3 shows. Let me tell you - not a dry eye in the house..... It puts a completely different perspective on the song when you hear a REAL survivor singing those lyrics. Unforgettable........

Anyway, here's the set list from the 3 shows:

SHOW 1
Children's Fantasy
Medley: David & Goliath / Going Home / Do Lord
Chalice
Child of the Universe
Time
From the Beginning
Changes
You Have My Heart (a new song written by Phil & his sister Geri)
The Survivor
Nothing But the Blood
Can You See Me

SHOW 2
Song of Hope
Inseperable
Never Is a Long Time
What A Day
John the Revelator
Child of the Universe
Chalice
You Have My Heart
The Survivor
Tender Love
Look In the Sky

SHOW 3
Medley: David & Goliath / Going Home / Do Lord
Sunshine of Your Love
From the Beginning
Changes
Let Us Be One (with pal Tommy Coomes, from Love Song)
You Have My Heart
The Survivor
Nothing But the Blood
Can You See Me
Never Is A Long Time

Not having seen Glass Harp since 1992, this was a special treat for me and Dave. The boys sounded fantastic, and they're really happy to be playing together again. The live cd is close to being finished, and they're just in a "searching for a label to release it" stage. They're also talking about doing several shows to promote the cd when it's released.

Back to resuming my normal everyday life...........
